Travel Food Picture of The Week – Montreal Mexican Style Poutine

They call it Poutine!

If you’ve never been to Montreal, QC in Canada, you need to go. If you go and you’ve never had Poutine, then you need to go back! Poutine is a French Canadian fatty treat, that surprisingly wasn’t invented in the States! It consists of french fries, cheese curds, and gravy. That’s the basic poutine. Then you can get all sorts of varieties around Montreal. My favorite is Smoked Meat Poutine, where you get the normal poutine, and some smoked meat on top. Delicious! As you know, my full time ministry & job is playing in the band For Today (see ABOUT ME), and we played Montreal last week on our current headlining tour. I was able to go to a new restaurant that had even more varieties. I opted for the Mexican style Poutine and ADDED SMOKED MEAT! Yum. It was the normal poutine, plus smoked meat, plus sour cream, tomatoes, & guacamole. Pretty intense and overwhelmingly good.

Have a look:
