Please comment at the bottom of the page or e-mail me if you find a better offer, or have questions! Some cards pay me a referral if you apply through my link and are approved, but I will always post the best offer available that I’m aware of – whether it is my link or not! As always, email me with any questions and thank you for supporting this site by using my links!

As always, I recommend that you know your credit score and know what’s in your credit report before applying for any of these cards. You can also try visiting a credit repair website to assist you with increasing your credit score. The general rule of thumb is that most of these premium rewards cards should be applied for by people with credit scores above 700 and great credit reports. People new to credit cards, young people, students, and people with low scores can see student cards available at the bottom of the page.

Earn 1 mile per dollar spent on purchases, & 2 miles per dollar on AA flights. No Annual Fee first year, $95 after.  General churning assumption as of 8/29/13 is that you can get a new personal AA card 12-26 months (avg 18 months) after applying for a personal card before.  Stay up to date with this Flyertalk thread** CLICK HERE TO APPLY

  • Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World MasterCard – Earn 40,000 bonus miles when you make $3,000 or more in purchases in the first 90 days from account opening. 40,000 bonus miles equates to $400 off your next trip booked on the card when redeemed, and you receive 10% back, so actually $440+!. No foreign transaction fees, free FICO score access, and points don’t expire as long as your account is open & in good condition. Arrival points are some of the easiest points to redeem that I’ve ever used. They can be redeemed for any travel booked on your credit card as a membership club fees statement credit for example – flights, rental car, hotel, cruise, travel agency, etc… You earn 2 points per $1 spent on everything and you also get 10% of the points back that you redeem, so this is actually worth over 46,000 points after making the minimum spend and getting points back when redeeming! 2. Chris Smith says:

This consolidates the flyertalk stuff so I don't have to dig through it, thanks!

  3. Jason Fowler says:

    what is your credit score?

  4. Yogi Allgood says:

I love this. Good job David!

  5. Kevin Dunlap says:

Any of these out there for cruise line/vacation packages? I love the idea of travelling places I've never been but would also love to do a nice cruise or an all-expenses resort like Sandals in Jamaica. I've had trouble finding any that are good deals myself.

    • None of the points programs allow you to redeem for points for cruises DIRECTLY, but you can apply points from points earning cards like Chase, American Express, or Capital One towards travel usually around 1 cent per mile. Other than that, these cards are mostly ideal to redeem for flight rewards OR hotel rewards. The SPG card has a "Night & Flights" option that lets you redeem points for both airline miles AND nights at their resorts. Several options available.

    • Kevin Dunlap says:

word i'll check out the SPG card for sure, it probably won't be my first though. i'll let you know when i get it so you can get the referal.

  6. Kevin Dunlap says:

FYI – I think the CitiBank American Express/Visa cards might be 40,000 points in sign-up bonuses now. Your link is to the enrollment page but if you go on their website and find the exact same card.

The new offer (which still isn't bad) is 30,000 points for spending $750 in the first 4 months and 10,000 bonus points for spending $5,000 in the first 6 months.

    • admin says:

The bonus that Citi publishes on their website is as you stated, yes… But that’s not the best offer. The best offer is the one I have posted and it is still working. Citi does that a lot, as does the Chase Southwest card.

      • Shane says:

David, I clicked on those offers too and it just takes me to the Citi main page. It doesn’t actually pull up the offer you have linked. What’s the solution you think to apply for the 50K offer? When on their site, they seem to make you select one of their listed options which are the 30K + 10K after spends. Thanks man!

        • admin says:

The first 2 deals are the Citi AA 50k cards, and I just clicked both links and they work. There’s no landing page that shows the offer, which is how it’s always been. They work though last I checked. I’ll update if anything changes.

    • There's lots of different AA offers, but the one's above are for 50,000.

  7. James Debono says:

if only this all applied to Australians!

  8. Just a smiling visitant here to share the love (:, btw great style .

  9. jacob glass says:

Hey im 18 and have never had a card. Ive always been fasinated by travel and i feel like Gods calling me to go go go. I was just wondering where i should start. I love for today also haha you guys are the best. Tell mattie hes a beast!

    • admin says:

Everybody starts somewhere! I’d recommend reviewing student credit cards and credit cards for people with bad/no credit. Try to find one with no annual fee. Follow my advice on credit and credit reports on the beginners steps posts, and your score should start improving. Within a year of responsible credit card usage and on time payments, you could probably apply for a mileage earning card from American Express.

  10. DealsSeeker says:

    Hey T&C,
New info. on Fidelity promos. Can now do any of the airlines, can be an existing customer of Fidelity for UA and AA miles too. BUT…
Can only do them every 12 months now. But cycling seems to still work.
    See ya around,
    DealsSeeker
