Top Deals

Below you will find what I consider to be the “Top Deals” available on the market right now. Free Elite Status offers, transfer bonuses between mileage programs, personal credit cards, business credit cards, financial offers, & more.
If you want free flights & hotels, this is the best page to be on!

I will do my absolute best to make sure all offers below are the best to my knowledge, and current. Please comment at the bottom of the page or e-mail me if you find a better offer, or have questions!
I recommend taking screenshots of the application page that lists your bonuses, in case there are any discrepancies with the card issuing bank down the road. Usually not an issue, but you want to be the rule, not the exception :)

As always, I recommend that you know your credit score and know what’s in your credit report before applying for any of these cards. The general rule of thumb is that most of these premium rewards cards should be applied for by people with credit scores above 700. To learn more about your credit score, & what’s in your credit report, read my 3 post series here:
http://travelandcredit.com/category/beginners-steps-2/

These are credit cards!  Be responsible.  Pay your bills on time.  Earn Miles.  Get free flights.  Repeat.

David Morrison That is where mine and Becky's is around also. 705-740 and we qualify for most of these deals. When we don't is when we have too many of the same company's cards (like we have too many Chase cards right now, so we get rejected.)

    • Chris Smith Solid! Make sure you take care of that baby and monitor it. There's a method to all of the madness. I had the "maximum number of cards allowed" from American Express when I applied for the SPG Business card in December. Of course, that was fixed when I canceled an older one and they approved the new one.

Yea, I have a small stack of cards that I need to cancel. You need to do a post on what is worthwhile to keep and what is worthwhile to cancel :)

Any of these out there for cruise line/vacation packages? I love the idea of travelling places I've never been but would also love to do a nice cruise or an all-expenses resort like Sandals in Jamaica. I've had trouble finding any that are good deals myself.

    Reply
    • None of the points programs allow you to redeem for points for cruises DIRECTLY, but you can apply points from points earning cards like Chase, American Express, or Capital One towards travel usually around 1 cent per mile. Other than that, these cards are mostly ideal to redeem for flight rewards OR hotel rewards. The SPG card has a "Night & Flights" option that lets you redeem points for both airline miles AND nights at their resorts. Several options available.

FYI – I think the CitiBank American Express/Visa cards might be 40,000 points in sign-up bonuses now. Your link is to the enrollment page but if you go on their website and find the exact same card.

The new offer (which still isn't bad) is 30,000 points for spending $750 in the first 4 months and 10,000 bonus points for spending $5,000 in the first 6 months.

The bonus that Citi publishes on their website is as you stated, yes… But that’s not the best offer. The best offer is the one I have posted and it is still working. Citi does that a lot, as does the Chase Southwest card.

David, I clicked on those offers too and it just takes me to the Citi main page. It doesn’t actually pull up the offer you have linked. What’s the solution you think to apply for the 50K offer? When on their site, they seem to make you select one of their listed options which are the 30K + 10K after spends. Thanks man!

The first 2 deals are the Citi AA 50k cards, and I just clicked both links and they work. There’s no landing page that shows the offer, which is how it’s always been. They work though last I checked. I’ll update if anything changes.

    • There's lots of different AA offers, but the one's above are for 50,000.

Everybody starts somewhere! I’d recommend reviewing student credit cards and credit cards for people with bad/no credit. Try to find one with no annual fee. Follow my advice on credit and credit reports on the beginners steps posts, and your score should start improving. Within a year of responsible credit card usage and on time payments, you could probably apply for a mileage earning card from American Express.

    Hey T&C,
New info. on Fidelity promos. Can now do any of the airlines, can be an existing customer of Fidelity for UA and AA miles too. BUT…
Can only do them every 12 months now. But cycling seems to still work.
    See ya around,
